He didn’t understand why Charles even liked reading these books in the first place, a man of his intelligence, he had always assumed that Charles read encyclopedias for fun (which he actually did, but not when he wanted “mindless” entertainment). It was one of the first things Erik remembered noticing when they first moved in together.
